  • Adoption is always the better option! we have so many beautiful cats and dogs just waiting for their forever homes…
  • We just love it when our patients owners come to visit them in the hospital! it helps them recover so much faster as they stress less knowing they have not been abandoned at an unfamiliar place.
  • A dogs brain releases Oxytocin (the love hormone) when they play with humans or other dogs. Dogs have the same intelligence as a 2 year old, they can understand up to 250 words and phrases and can count to 5! Our furchildren are so much smarter than we think and are so much like us that even their nose prints are as unique as our fingerprints.
  • 2019 was a Milestone Year for the Animal Welfare Society of South Africa and we can all be very proud of the past years accomplishments made possible by you our donors and supporters and hope that we will continue to enjoy your support, company and encouragement for always so that we can continue to be positive force for change and voice for the animals. We are under no illusion that 2020 is not going to be a tough year but together with your continued support we can make it the start of the best decade ever.
