Until recently our Society was home to a flock of migrant Peafowl who flew in, loved the place, stayed and multiplied.

Despite their apparent contentment and independence it was felt that they would be better off on a farm without the occupational hazards associated with a busy operational facility.

I assisted our Inspectors with trying to find them a suitable forever home and was delighted to arrive at work early one Monday morning to see them all safely loaded and about to make their way to their new home on a large vegetable farm where once “homed” they will be allowed to free-range.
