Extreme heat is coming—keep your pets cool and safe!

For Dogs:
- Walk early or late to avoid peak temperatures.
- Check the ground temperature before walking; if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
- Provide shade, fresh water, and cooling options like a shallow pool or frozen treats.

For Cats:
- Keep fans on and cool areas accessible.
- Offer fresh water and ice cubes.
- Play during cooler times and brush frequently to remove excess fur.

Signs of Heatstroke in Pets:
- Heavy panting
- Disorientation
- Vomiting or collapse
If you notice these symptoms, act fast. Cool them with water or compresses (not ice) and take them to a vet immediately.
Never leave pets in parked cars or walk them in temperatures above 30°C. Their safety depends on your vigilance.
